Biggest Blizzard since 1951...

And Edwina got stuck in it with the kids...

The next day we went out to play in the snow!

Spring Festival Lanterns in Tieling..

My friend Liu Liu and Maynard took us to see the spring lanterns in Tieling.
Edwina made a new friend (he may have had a few celebratory rice wines...)

Spring Holiday Part 6 - Going back to Tieling

We went back to Tieling on the last day of the Spring holiday so the trains were VERY crowded...we finally got proper seats in the hard bed sleeping carriage...well beds...

Spring Holiday Part 5 - Shan Hai Guan and the Dragon Head

Shan Hai Guan means Mountain Sea Gate. It's also called 'The First Pass Under Heaven' and was an important gate in the Great wall during the Ming Dynasty.

The Dragon head is the only part of the great wall to reach the sea....
and it's really beautiful at sunrise...shame about me! hehehe

Spring Holiday Part 4 - The train to Shan Hai Guan

Spring Holiday Part 3 - The Great Wall

Again...this time at Badaling..

Spring Holiday Part 2 - Beijing

I know I know...I've already been there...But Edz hadn't!

She was very excited to finally see Tiananmen Square...

And the Palace....

And to eat some Beijing Duck (head)...

This is Miss Wang and Peter who kindly showed us around Beijing and took us back to Tieling later..

Spring Holiday Part 1 - Harbin

My 'baby' sister Edwina came to visit...yay...

We went on a trip for the Spring Festival Holiday...First Stop Harbin.

The Harbin Ice Festival....means it's very...VERY cold....

Let's see....I dreamt of a White Christmas...but it didn't snow until Boxing Day!

We tried a spot of ice skating....

Went to see Beiling park in the snow...
